Strategize. Build. Thrive.
At Forge Optima Collective, we believe in precision, trust, and strategies that are custom-tailored to meet the unique needs of every client. We approach each financial landscape with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to transparent communication, and a standard of top-tier service.
Our mission goes beyond delivering results, it’s about cultivating lasting partnerships built on integrity, clarity, and mutual respect. We empower clients to navigate complexity with confidence and unlock their full potential, driving meaningful outcomes today while shaping what’s possible tomorrow.
To extend our impact even further, we’ve launched a nonprofit arm — Forge Optima — dedicated to bringing our curriculum, mentorship, and leadership resources into schools and underserved communities. Through this initiative, we’re building bridges between professional insight and youth empowerment, investing in the next generation of changemakers.
The Forge Optima Collective was born from a simple idea:
What if we shared the things we wish someone had told us earlier?
Over the past 20 years, what started as casual conversations mentoring students, coaching peers, listening to people navigate school, jobs, identity, and burnout, slowly revealed a common thread. No matter how “successful” someone looked, so many were quietly struggling. Struggling to be seen. Struggling to stay grounded. Struggling to hold onto themselves while chasing expectations they never consciously chose.
We saw bright, passionate people lose their way, not from failure, but from forgetting who they were in the process of “making it.” And we realized: we knew that feeling too well.
The Collective was shaped by personal experience.
I was once a shy, introverted kid who spent more time behind books than in front of people. But I found creativity in unexpected places, designing websites, teaching Photoshop classes, performing improv, and learning how to tell stories. I dreamed of building brands, until a college marketing internship left me disillusioned and lost. That twist sent me down a different path to what I have become today as a Finance Executive.
But behind every promotion and polished résumé were also health challenges, personal grief, and painful reminders that none of it mattered if I lost myself along the way. Those lessons taught me the power of knowing your values. Of creating space for reflection. Of staying connected to who you are, even when life pulls you in every direction. I learned that you can’t fully love what you do until you learn to love who you are.
And I wasn't alone. So many others had been through the same journey.
That’s why I built the Collective, a community of mentors, creators, and everyday people who are willing to share what they’ve learned. To make it easier for someone else. To offer stories, resources, and relationships that help others feel seen, supported, and grounded.
The Forge Optima Collective exists so that others don’t have to figure it out alone.
With over two decades of experience across finance, strategy, education, and mentorship, Gary has consistently championed purpose-driven leadership and social impact.
A first-generation college graduate, seasoned public company CFO, and longtime mentor, Gary has spent his career at the intersection of business excellence and community empowerment. From guiding companies through complex financial transformations to coaching young professionals on career pathways, his work has always centered on helping people realize their full potential and then pay it forward.
Forge Optima Collective was born out of a belief that access, identity, and opportunity shouldn’t be limited by background or circumstance. What started as informal mentorship has grown into a dynamic ecosystem of professional support, creative content, and now, a nonprofit initiative that brings life and career curriculum into schools and underserved communities.
Through Forge Optima Collective, Gary continues to build what he wishes he had growing up, a space where people can define who they are, where they’re going, and how they’ll lead with purpose.
